Support for entering the Japanese market
Discoverability in Japan, for overseas brands.
So your brand appears in Japanese AI answers, search and maps, we do the research and the build inside Japan.
What we do
What we do
What a Japanese language AI cites is written in Japanese, by outlets trusted in Japan. That is why a brand that is strong in its home language does not come up when you ask in Japanese.
Ask in Japanese, and you are not there.
We ask the same question in English and in Japanese and lay the answers and the sources side by side. You see which outlets are cited and where you are missing.
Decide which Japanese outlets cite you.
We map out the outlets Japanese AI and search are citing, and decide where you should appear.
Read the results in your own language.
We read out what comes back when we ask in Japanese, in your language. We report in Japanese, English and Korean.
Measure again, and report.
We sort out the Japanese content, structured data and business profile, then measure again and report what changed.
Process
How it goes
The order is the same whichever service you take.
Research
We gather the searches and questions that look like yours, and see who is on top and what the AI is citing.
Trace the sources
We map out what gets cited and what gets rated, and identify the outlets lifting your competitors.
Prepare
Working back from the result you want, we decide what to fix and what to write.
Build, then measure
We ask the same question again and watch what moved. We keep going until you are in the answer.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Why does a brand famous in Korea not come up in Japanese ChatGPT?
Because Japanese language AI cites outlets written in Japanese and trusted in Japan. A reputation in Korea does not reach the Japanese answer. Without Japanese articles, Japanese reviews and Japanese structured data, no amount of asking by Japanese customers will put you in the answer.
Entering Japan, should we start with SEO, MEO or AEO?
Start by measuring. We ask four AIs, search and maps the same question in Japanese and see where you appear and where you drop out. We begin wherever the gap is biggest. The order changes with the industry and where you are now, so we do not decide it in advance.
We cannot read the Japanese results. How will you report them?
We read the Japanese search results and AI answers and explain them in Korean or English. Not only the numbers, but what is being cited and why you are missing. We are a company that has done business in three markets, the United States, Japan and Korea. We speak both the head office language and the Japanese one.
Where do you measure from?
From Japan. We read out exactly what Japanese customers actually see.
Can we work with you without a Japanese entity?
Yes. You can start online without a Japanese entity.
How is this different from a Japanese ad agency or SEO firm?
We do the Japanese implementation inside Japan while speaking your head office language. Japanese SEO firms report in Japanese. Overseas agencies cannot do the Japanese implementation. And we handle not only search but the multilingual Google Maps profile and the AI answer as one flow.
How do you increase Japanese reviews and outlet coverage?
We identify the Japanese outlets AI and search are actually citing first. Then we decide which outlets and pages you should appear in and design the placement. Not raising the count blindly, but appearing where you get cited.
Can products on Amazon.co.jp or Rakuten be put into AI answers?
They can. We sort out the structure of the product pages and design the Japanese outlets and reviews where the product gets cited. The aim is that when someone asks in Japanese "what products do you recommend in this field", your product is in the sources.
Can head office set up the business profile for the Japanese location?
Yes. We handle the Japanese Google Business Profile registration, review replies and posts from Japan, and report progress in the head office language. You can start without anyone on the ground in Japan.
What language is the reporting in?
We work in Japanese, English and Korean.
